Recruitment of two consultants: (1) Human Health expert (Team leader); (2) Animal Health expert, for preparation of a Report and Briefing Paper on epi-lab collaboration
The project “Strengthening Capacity for the Implementation of One Health in Vietnam” (SCOH) was funded by United States Agency for International Development (USAID) via United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). Project implemented in partnership with Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD) and Ministry of Health (MOH) will contribute to the reduction of the threats to public health from avian and pandemic influenza (API) and other emerging infectious diseases (EIDs) through the application of a One Health approach in Viet Nam.

The objectives of the project are the establishment and sustainable operation of a revised and improved coordination structure on API and EIDs, and the reinforcement of national policy dialogue and knowledge sharing mechanism on the implementation of the One Health approach in Viet Nam as well as in regional and international networks.
The project is currently seeking positions: Two consultants: (1) Human Health expert (Team leader); (2) Animal Health expert, for preparation of a Report and Briefing Paper on epidemiology and laboratory (epi-lab) collaboration and information sharing between the Human Health (HH) and Animal Health (AH) sectors in Viet Nam, and recommendations to enhance a One Health approach (National)
The purpose of this assignment is to develop a report and accompanying briefing paper for policy makers, experts and other related stakeholders in Viet Nam providing an overview of institutions, networks, policies, guidelines, regulations, mechanisms and practices that affect HH-AH (epi-lab) collaboration and information sharing, together with recommendations on how to strengthen this in future in line with the practical and effective application of a One Health approach.
